  1. rubbing alcohol, if the notebook cover is plastic, it will not "eat" it.

I have used rubbing alcohol to remove sharpie from walls and other surfaces.

    (I have kids)

  2. Rub it with a piece of foam, workes for me

  3. gosh i really don't think there is anyway for that to come out just rub it with a mild soap or cleaning liquid and maybe it will lighten over time

  4. Sol U Mel is great.  Sol U Mel will remove permanent or sharpie marker from just about anything, even photographs, it removes paint from your finger nails, fingernail polish and other nasty old stains off of your cloth or leather furniture.  It will clean up and freshen up any old paint brushes and will even take the wall paint off, so be careful.  This stuff is safe if drank and is all natural.  Sol U Mel is also a great cleaner I use it in the bathroom in the kitchen and on my floors.

Sol U Mel is sold exclusively by Melaleuca.  You can not buy it in stores.

Email me if you can't find it.

  5. Nail polish remover works. But make sure it will not harm the material. Otherwise I know someone who used a Mr. clean magic eraser to remove permanent marker from panted walls and a glossy family photo after her toddler got a hold of it.

  6. Krys is right..although make sure the nail polish remover contains acetone. Acetone is a solvent we use in the lab to remove and clean plastics and glassware. It works really nicely!

I would test an area of the notebook first...one you wont see (inside binding...)

    good luck!
