HELP I need to write a paragraph about myself?

I need to write a paragraph for financial aid for school in regards to my independency. It needs to state that I have been living on my own, supporting myself and working since I was 18. What is a professional way to write this?

First suggestion...type it.  Handwritten letters are very hard to read.  Second, explain how you are supporting yourself in detail.  If you're working, show them a copy of your tax form or W2.  Tell them if you have a roommate helping with the bills.  Give them the details to explain why you feel your parents information should not have to be provided.
