  1. Dublin is a wonderful historic city:

There are pubs and clubs.  Wonderful architecture, parks, museums and art galleries.   Scroll down that travel.yahoo page and they suggest tours around Ireland.

I wonder if I get extra points for using a yahoo link?

  2. Well it depends what your into, Killarney has some beautiful scenery spots, you could visit Muckross House and Gardens which is only outside the town and take a walk around it. Killarney is very tourist orientated. You can also do the Ring of Kerry to get a feel for it. In Kenmare there is also a "Seafari" where you can go see the seals if they are out.

There is alot to see in Cork aswell, there's the Opera House, the Cork City Gaol and if you like your churches I'd recommend St Finbar's Cathedral and Shandon Church.

    Enjoy your trip.

  3. Welcome and enjoy but please lose the southern Ireland bit - we are called Ireland or the Republic of Ireland but most definitely not southern ireland.

If you are coming to Dublin visit one of the tourist offices for ideas.  Take the hop on hop off bus which is great.  Tickets are valid for 24 hours and you can get on and off as many times as you like.  The driver gives a running commentary which helps.

All of our museums and art galleries are free so if you are interested in these they are all easily accessible from the centre of the city.

If you want to relax, visit Portmarnock beach or Malahide with its castle and demesne on the north side or Dalkey with its island on the south side and also Bray Head which is a nice climb with a good view when you get up there.

Pubs are everywhere so visit a few.  Try Mulligans in Poolbeg street, lesser known one.  You can visit Temple Bar but it is only really full of tourists most of the time.

I can give you advice on anywhere but you may be only going to Dublin.

Web sites are mostly the name of the county .ie for example www.cork.ie or www.galway.ie or dublin.ie.  There is also fingalcoco.ie which gives you infomation on the northern part of the Dublin county.

Welcome and enjoy and if you want more specific info just modify your question and I will try to help
