I'm a year away from a commerce degree and I've recently realized that I hate the business world, the "networking", the typical ladder climbing backstabbers, the search for profit at the expense of all else...

I really don't want to be one of these douchebag careerists, I'm actually more of a punk...why I got into business school is too long a story to tell here...suffice to say it had to do with girls and a need for security (which is an illusion I now realize).

Basically I'm looking for any suggestions of sectors/jobs I could work in and not have to be a part of some large multinational or that doesn't have a culture of all these old boys clubs that I have come to hate (I'm working in a co-op position between school terms). I just want to make money to pay the rent, I don't need the condo and the hot car, I just want to pay the bills so I can enjoy my free time....I'm willing to work in a boring field, I just don't want to be like the blackberry crowd...god they're scary.

  1. hopefully you will receive an accredited Bachelor's degree in commerce and then - really, you can go look at something you really want to do...Finance and accounting, loan officer, mortgage business, real estate, and some other positions that might benefit from your degree.  Seriously, there are a lot of companies that will take someone because they have a degree and some that do not really care what it is in...you could look into a government position...advertising, public relations...human resources... with a Bachelor's under your belt you could probably take only a few other core courses and have (2) ...what was/is your minor...do you have one?
