  1. It is normal. And it is not disgusting as far as the rabbit is concerned. What you are applying are human emotions and sentiments to what otherwise is a normal, natural action of animals if you leave them alone.

    By the way, are you aware that it is probably your fault that she is eating her babies? If you got to close to the bunnies or touched them, then your scent is on the bunnies and the mother will consider them "tainted' and will not treat them as her offspring. Birds don this too. they will drop from the nest any chick that has been touched by humans.

    and they say of omnivores, "ignorance is bliss..." In your case, ignorance is having a whole litter of otherwise healthy bunnies eaten by their mother..

    If it is not already to late remove the babies immediately but there is not guarantees that the mother will ever want them back.
