HELP....Ideas for cool jobs to apply for.....?

I have a friend that lives in Virigina...I live in Philadelphia and he has gotten the coolest/easiest jobs out there. I'm 18 and he's 17. He has worked as a bus boy type at Hooters and then now at a golf course and he drives around a golf cart all day collecting stray balls pretty much.

I am currently looking for an easy/cool job like that part time and wanted some ideas......any suggestions? Thanks!

Easy.  Go to the same kind of places that you have admired your friend working at and ask for a job.  For example, go to a near by golf course and ask them if they have any jobs doing exactly what your friend is now doing.  If no, then try another approach such as, how much would you pay per recovered ball?  The harder you work, the better the pay.  Just don't take the first NO job reply as the only answer.  Go back the next day and the next.  Eventually they will hire you for your dream job or escort you off the place with security <smile>.

I asked 8 straight days for my first construction job and got fired the first day.  Went back the next day and they hired me back.  Worked all summer for them and learned some great lessons.  I learned that persistence gets you hired.  People need good people to work for them. If you are persistent, then they will hire you.  I also learned that I didn't want to do construction all my life and saved as much money as I could to get an education as a chemical consultant.  My next employer came after me to go to work for them.
