HELP!!!! In a "sticky" situation!?

I can never make a batter to stick to any of the food I try to put it on. Does anyone have a good batter recipe that will stick to zucchini?

Pat the food dry with a paper towel, dredge in flour, shake off the excess, then coat with the batter.

dust with flour first.

dust your zucchini in flour first... then your batter will stick.

wet sticks to dry, dry sticks to wet.

a wet batter won't stick to a wet slice of veggie.
