  1. as long as u have the cd and license,u can install it to any computer .i have mine and i don't have any trouble installing it to my laptop and my sister-in-law computer.

  2. Id product and cd.. !!?

You can install it on how many computers and laptops u want.

  3. Basically for retail Office, the license is applicable for 1 computer only. So you will need to buy another CD or license if you want to install it in another computer

  4. you can only have mircosoft office 2003 installed on one computer.. you can not use the same product Id on another computer and use them at the same time if you do and go on the internet MS will disable both office systems,

All microsoft product you have are registered to the old computer.. thats is why you have to activate all MS products

All Microsoft products call home when your on the internet.

You could download Open Office 2 which is free and is compatible with Office 2003, Open Office as the same features as Office 2003 and more besides.

People are telling you wrong by saying you can install it on many computers,,,, read the ms software license agreement

check it out for yourself click on the link below

  5. technically the license only allows you to install it on one computer. But if you plan on taking it off the computer it's currently on (ie: uninstalling it) and then you want to install it on your new computer, that shouldn't be a problem.  When you attempt to register it on the new PC it may give you some error since it's been registered before and the hardware configuration you're using now is different than before. But it'll give you an 800 # to call. Just call and let them know what you're doing and they'll walk you through it.
