Okay.. Ive been researching and Im having trouble finding a website that has the documents for a permanent visa or any document that associates with a permanent stay in the country. The country Im talking about is England. Btw, all ive seen were things for business and working. But I want something to admit me into the UK and help me stay and apply for citizenship. I currently live in New York and Im a citizen there.

  1. Contact the British Embassy in New York, they'll have the information you need on applying for a visa and how to go about doing it:

    Link to the British Embassy:

Link to the Home Office based in the UK:

This is a link to a website set up by American ex-pats living in the UK:

  2. Yes, you will have to start by getting a work permit.  Once you live there on a temporary work permit for some time, you can apply for permanent residency and when you have lived there for 5 years, you can apply for citizenship.

  3. please look at the attached link which has FAQ's regarding visas for the UK for US Citizens etc., Although it says working visa's it also helps for other visas. Good Luck
