Yep, as untraditional as it is, we're hosting the our daughters rehearsal dinner..go figure & please don't even ask! The problem is that since it's a "destination wedding", ALL of the people IN the wedding party (bride/groom incl) & those "extras" (about 35) coming to the wedding & invited to the dinner which needs to be in S.F., (due to hotel parking fees/transportation,etc) we need to find a place that's not over the top price wise (we're also hosting the wedding/reception) and close to the Embarcadero/ Crissy Field area that's decent in price, decent food and can house 35 people.

Bear in mind that Oracle's convention is beginning at that time also. (Date we need: 9/19/08)

Any & alllll local to/close to the Embarcadero eateries would be appreciated as long as they're decently priced.. Not looking for any $30.00 per plate since we're hosting the entire wedding.

Thank you!

  1. I haven't been there in a few years, and all I can think of close by is Alioto's (which might not be too horribly expensive):) ....  You might try asking this in Travel- Dining - San Francisco:) .......good luck!

  2. I live near S.F. and also cater outdoor events. Id think a beautiful diner in September would be down at Christy Field, or even Baker Beach. make it a nice picnic type event with some good family fun. You could also try the Rain Forest Cafe' they may be able to help you with prices but my family and i ate there 2 months ago and the price was $20.00 a person. Try going into Japan town for a great dinner at pocketbook prices awesome food! If you would like more info from me then pm me and ill get you the info you need and we can find a sutible location for your wedding party. You may want to look into booking something at AT&T Park. there is also a man made island restaurant in the bay off of fishermans wharf thats about 40 a person but is awesome! At Pier 39 is Bubba Gump Shrimp company which is very good. Theres a 50's style diner near the Embaracero that has been featured on food network that is outta this world and its very affordable.
