HELP ME ALREADY please i need to figure out how to earn donations please!!?

i keep asking this question and no one is reading it right

its very important!!!! i dont want your money,im asking what i can do to get donations,NOT URS,get it??? everytime i ask this question people freak out at me saying they dont have money 2 donate,im not asking for anything from u lol please read this!!

at my church,every year we do a 30 hour famine so we can see how some kids live.....with no food and some of the terrible things they have to go through everyday.

we collect donations b4 the famine and last year i made $500

my goal this year was 2 raise 1000

i got 200 in one day which is good but i only have 5 more days left to raise the rest and going door 2 door never works because people only give $1 usually =[

what can i do 2 get the $800 left

every dollar feeds a child so with 1000 i could feed a lot of starving children

so how should i get the donations

I'll go with the first person, it seems that they have the top few things I would do. if you came to my door I'll give you all the cash I have wich isn't much but still. make sure you show people what their donations will go for. people freak out because you want donations where a lot of places that collects donations ends up to be a fraud and takes houndreds of dollars away from them for something that don't exist. trust me it happens.

See if a couple of local stores will allow you to put donation cans in their store.  If you have some friends who would be willing to help you see if you can find a gas station that would let you have a car wash at their station.  For the car wash charge $5.00 (or so...) per car and then have people with tip containers to add to the funds.  Good luck with your fund raising efforts!

By your urgent call for help, I feel that time should not be a factor here.  You said you had 5 days...

I've raised money for charitable organizations and the problem is ... if you don't build trust with people... then a $1.00 tells you that you have not built that bridge yet.

I would take the pressure off of the time limit imposed on you by your church.

Then ask yourself is this about a commitment the church made or a commitment you actually want to make.

Is this urgent request about the moment or actually about the people you are trying to raise money for.  I would step back and assess the situation.  

1.) How much money do they need? if unlimited then find pick a total you can do for the year.  

2.) how much time can you donate to collecting money.

3.) Get letters of introduction from your church.

4.) Make sure that all donations are properly recorded (this will build trust for the people who are donating).

5.) get all the information on an area you want to donated too and maybe even select several kids you can adopt.

6.) sometimes you can send the kids money directly then letting it be watered down by some large fundraising organization that sends only 25cents on the dollar.
