HELP ME I NEED LEGAL ADVICE

I HAVE BEEN SURFERING FROM DEPRESSION DUE TO A FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AND DEALING WITH AN ABUSIVE EX- BOYFRIEND WHO I ALSO HAVE A KID BY. SO ONE DAY I GOT THIS AMAZING JOB STARTING @ $17.OO AN HOUR 40 AWEEK I WAS SO EXCITED AND THANKED THE LORD FOR THIS BLESSINGS. ONLY PROBLEM WAS I DIDNT HAVE A BABY SITTER SO I PLEADED AND BEGGED MY KID'S DAD TO PLEASE KEEP HIS OWN KID WHILE I WORK AND ONLY UNTILL I FIND CHILD CARE SO HE AGREED ONLY AFTER HE MADE ME GIVE HIM $100.00 AND HAVE s*x WITH HIM! SO THE MORNING THAT I WAS SUPPOSE TO START WORK I WENT TO HIS HOUSE TO DROP OUR KID OFF HE DIDNT OPEN THE DOOR HE WAS IN THE HOUSE AND WAS BASICALLY TELLING ME HE DOESNT WANT TO SEE ME WITH ANYTHING HE DOEST WANT ME TO GET UP ON MY FEET AND HE'S SABOTAGING MY JOB.SO I WAS SO HURT ANGREY EMOTINALLY CUSFUSED BECAUSE ITS DAYS WHEN WE BOTH CANT AFORRD DIAPERS OR FORMULA FOR OUR CHILD SO WHY WOULD HE DO THIS WHEN I WILL BE MAKING ENOUGH MONEY TO SUPPORT OUR KID AND WON'T HAVE TO ASK HIS SORRY BROKE *** FOR ****! ANYWAYS I LEFT OUR KID OUTSIDE HIS DOOR ASUMMING HE WOULD BE FORCED TO WATCH HER BUT INSTEAD HE CALLED THE POLICE AND SAID I ABBANDED OUR KID AND OF COURSE HE DIDNT SAY HE WAS THE FATHER NOW I AM BEING CHARGE WITH CHILD NEGLECT AND ENDANGERMENT AND MY KID IS IN FOSTER CARE I TOLD THE POLICE EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED THEY COULD CARE LESS THEY ONLY KEPT ASKING ME DID I KONW HOW HOT IT WAS OUTSIDE. MY QUESTION IS AM I THE WORST MOM EVER? AND HOW CAN I GET OUT OF THIS MESS? BECAUSE IF I GET CHARGED WITH CHILD ENDANGERMENT I WILL LOSE MY JOB BECAUSE I WORK WITH CHILDERN!

I think it was being neglectful to leave the child there only assuming he would go out and get him.

I've found that police really don't help too much when it comes to children. My mom once called the police on me because I had thrown a tantrum and threw something in the bathroom, she then lied and despite telling them the truth, they actually sided with her over me. Not to mention they told her to beat me instead of calling them again.

There was another time too where my friend had her mother called on the cops because they thought that my friend was not safe there, they happened to live in an old house in a bad neighborhood. The cops came out and didn't do anything but basically tell her mom that if they got another call, they would take her daughter into foster care. They didn't even bother to look at the living environment. And they were called again, and my friend actually ended up living with my family and I for almost a year.

But there is good news.. You paid him to babysit your child. If you gave him the money up front, then he owes you that money.

If you had s*x with him already and he refuses, he has broken your oral contract.

The best thing you can do is try to prove that you left the child on the doorstep assuming he was going to get the child, because after all he claimed he was going to babysit him.

thats pretty messed up, im not trying to be mean, but you never ever leave your child, if you dont see her going inside with her father, you dont leave her, under any circumstances! what if a stranger was watching you and took your daughter?

If you get charged you will be entitlted to appointed counsel.  If you are looking for a way to avoid being charged, no one here can tell you.  That decision is reserved to the DA.  Personally, I agree with the cops.  If you left you kids at the ex's door when he was not obliged to take them in, it is no different than leaving them at the mall in the hopes that someone would take care of them.

You can beat this charge and get off with probation. Get yourself a lawyer. Once that is over file for custody of your child and child support from the ex. Once you get your child back, you need to find a decent daycare or a relative to care for the child. Its gonna be a long hard road for you. But, if you hang in there you can win.
