HELP ME PLEASE HAIRSTYLE PROBLEM!!!!?

Question

ok so i want a new hairstyle and i have medium length black half wavy half straight hair and its very thick and a little frizzy. i want my hair to be able to look like this (only the hairstyle not the colour)

and can i make it without having to straighten it or add some smoother or somethign? i want to have a hairstyle thatll look really good on me and i wont have to do much to it to make it look good. i want my hair layered please help me very much appreciated. and when i make a pony with my hair it looks like a mango and its sooooooooo ugly isnt it supposed to be sleek like a banana? will it fix if i get layered hair?heeeeeeeelp me!!!!!!!! please send me links and if you can please tell me the description (trimmed ends layered hair i dunno) so i can tell the hairdresser.

and please make it aproppriate cuz when i go to school i have to have it in a pony its a rule =(

I have pretty much the same hair type,  when i go to the hairdressers i get it layered throughout cos that takes the bulk out of it.  I also ask to get it thinned and they razer the hair and use straightening scissors this makes it more manageable.  I do use tresemme serum to smooth it and also straighten it, this gives me a nice smooth strait ponytail!
