  1. Really use your center to pull up and make sure you spotting is dead on.

  2. just to let u know that the video provided does not show fouettes it shows frappes...

  3. Don't spin your leg too hard when you are turning. Keep your balance leg firm, but not too firm that you stop in mid spin.

  4. All I can say is practice. Make sure you're spotting and hitting a'fface (shoulder meets chin). Goodluck!

  6. you just have to spot

    and practice alot.

    also practice doing

    fouettes slowly to

get the hang of them then

    gradually speed up

    until you can do them

    without traveling.

    :)

    hope it helps.

  7. You need to make sure you are dead on with your spotting, generally that's what causes people to travel because their spot wavers.

Also, make sure you are not opening your leg early, wait until your body is to the front before pulling out of pase.

Pull up and relax your shoulders.

Good exercises that worked for me, and girls I teach, is mimicking a fouette but without turning. Plie, open your leg, rise to releve and pull into pase. This helps with control and balance.

  8. well here's what I suggest

I think you should keep on practicing and ask some one to critique u.

  9. i had the same exact problem....

it took me over a week to figure it out

i stood on my toes all day and worked on my balance

cause fouettes are all about balance then i did the basic spinning to work on my spotting

then i put all of it together and practiced and practiced and practiced

and even if you find yourself traveling again then just stop collect yourself and remember what help you the best

    good luck
