NOTE: I'm buying it off craigslist, mommy and daddy aren't buying it for me [HA] so I have to buy it myself so it's not like I'm paying 5k

My limit is actually 2k unless I have more saved up in August

I want a simple looking car. Just simple..

GOOD GAS MILEAGE, LOW INSURANCE

1992-1995 Honda Civic VX Hatchback.

48-55mpg, I don't think you'll be able to get all the luxuries from your second paragraph though.

get something that's not American.. get like a Honda civic or a Toyota corolla. both get killer gas milage, very easy to maintain, and you can find a mid 90's model for a good price
