MY RABBIT HAD THEM THIS MORNING! 3 OF, WERE ALL ALIVE AND FINE. I JUST CHECKED THE NESTBOX AND ONE HAS DIED. THE OTHER TWO ARE MOVING ARE FINE AND ONE IS PINK AND ONE IS BLACK, I HAVE 2 FEMALES AND ONE MALE RABBIT, THEY ARE ALL SEPARATED. I TRIED TO PUT THE BABIES IN A NEST BOX (SHOEBOX) WITH THE MOTHERS HAY BUT SHE TOOK THEM BACK OUT AND FLUNG THE BOX AWAY.

i DONT WANT TO RISK THEM DYING IN THE COLDNESS OF THE CAGE FLOOR EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE LYING ON SAWDUST AND THE MOTHER HAS COVERED THEM.

  1. I'm sorry about this horrific loss. But to keep the other Baby Rabbits alive you need to give them fresh water and clean food and MAKE sure you clean there hutch or whatever there sleeping in as clean as possible and try to get a high pen around the hutch to stop foxes getting in or any sort of animal, as my rabbits got killed but foxes so make sure you get a high pen. And make sure you get a brush and clean them to make sure they dont have flys or any insects to infect them. And if there is any problems make sure you send them to the vet as quickly as possible, hopefully that will never happen

    Good luck.

  2. try not to touch them too much, it can cause them to get stressed out and she might kill them if she does get stressed, as long as she is looking after them they will be fine :) if anything just add some more hay and straw to keep them warm

  3. put the mother and babies in a box

like a packing box and put towels on the bottom and a little bit of hay

they will cuddle up in the cornor and the mother should stay next to them

make sure that the towels arent like layed flat

make sure that they are buched up kind of so that they can snuggle under them

    hope i was of help!

  4. Hey Jacks, don't say things like that, you know she loves her pets and she wouldn't want to do that.

Anyway, don't disturb the mother you fool. She is the mother not you. She can handle the situation. If she wants to she can abandon the babies, or eat them. Its her choice, she can take care of them.

  5. Put lots of hay and shredded newspaper in to the cage and she should make a nest. Avoid picking them up and moving them around because the mother will kill them and possibly eat them. If you have a heat lamp put that over them too.

You shouldn't breed rabbits without doing your research and the rabbits are purebred show quality bunnies. There are enough bunnies in the world with bad homes and none at all.

  6. well do what people do with other animals that wont except there children take then in and care for them your self or find a surrogate mother or send them away to the adoption center and they will find a foster mom for them

  7. Cook them. They make great stew..

  8. i think that the mother would know best .

the one that died probably was the runt or something.

if i were you i would check on them but leave them.

  9. Line part of the cage with an old towel. It will keep the babies warm if the mother doesn't. Also try keeping the cage out of view of people/animals and keep area quiet. Good luck!
