HELP!!!! MY soccer cleats smell from the leather!!!!?

I got new soccer cleats and they got wet because the grass was still dewy. Its dewy every morning when we practice so they keep getting wet and then drying wet and drying etc. But there is a huge problem! Because the leather got wet they smell like cat pee. I'm pretty sure this happened to a pair i had before but it just went away and didn't smell as bad. ITs been like this for weeks and the smell just keeps getting stronger! PLEASE HELP! How do i get rid of the smell. I have sprayed them with febreeze but that didn't even help.

Put them in a plastic bag and freeze them overnight.
