HELP! Major dilema! My favorite beverage cup is an inch taller than my drinking straws and they keep submerg

Question

the straws keep submerging into my soda pop!

I can't find any longer straws anywhere, but i don't want to abandon my favorite cup in favor of a shorter cup. I also don't want to throw away my 2000 straws !!!

Should i tape or glue some straws together?

Should i saw an inch off of my cup?

Or should i go to 7-11 and steal some of their long Big Gulp straws?

I had the same problem.  If you go to 7-11 they will let you take several straws with out a problem.  I have also gotten some long straws from Whataburger.  You could always go to the local home improvement store and get some plastic tubing of the right diameter and cut them to the correct length.

I very occasionally go to Starbuck's, but, when I do, I take a handful of straws:) .... Since they charge me extra for the 3rd shot of espresso in a Venti (triple) latte,  I'm entitled to the straws!  ......Or, you can get the "flex" straws that fold over the top.........

ummm dont use a straw and drink it right from the cup.. lol

Get creative and manufacture some sort of washable and reuseable straw extender. I bet you could use one of those rubbery plastic gripper things that they sell for pencils..
