Hi

Last year I did my maths GCSE at foundation level and got a D (D was the highest you could get in foundation that year) the next year the grade boundaries where changed and you could get a C in foundation. I am retaking my Maths GCSE this year with my A Levels (Going into year 13) and I am going to do foundation, just wondering if anyone knows what percentage you need to get a C in foundation and if there is any advice as how to improve in my maths as I find it really hard as I suffer from dyspraxia and find spatial awareness in maths and mathematical problems very hard.

Thanks xxxxx

  1. I think its about 80%. Good luck 4 maths. I've just got my GCSE results and I'm amazed that I got a C in maths and I took the higher paper.

  2. approx 65% Only advice to improve is ppractice questions over and over again.

  3. Hey, i took my GCSE's last year and recieved a D in maths  ( 6 points away from a C)

so i retook it again this year and again i recieved a D. this time 3 points away from a C.

basically you need to get the majority of the paper  (the foundation paper) correct to get a grade C.

im going to retake it for a third time! ahhh

  4. When I did intermediate a couple of years ago in secondary it was about 50% to get a C.

It's changed now because intermediate is no more, but to get a C in foundation I would assume it's a pretty high percentage you must get.

    Maybe around 75%

Just get a revision guide and revise.

Also, always write your working out in the exam.
