If im trying to send a message from australia on my mobile phone to someone in fiji do i just send it to there mobile number or do i have to add extra digits?

  1. You will have to add the country code..

    And if there is a 0 on the start of their mobile number, you will have to take the zero off. and replace it with their country code.. with a + at the start of it.. I'm sorry i dont know the country code.


  2. If it's a Fijian mobile phone then you need to put 0011 in front of their number (as well as the code for Fiji).

    If it's an Aussie mobile phone (ie a friend over in Fiji on holiday) then just text them as normal (ie 04xx xxxxxx).

  3. 0011  is the international prefix used to dial somewhere outside of Australia.

    679  is the international code used to dial to Fiji.

    Therefore 0011 679  followed by the number.

    When ringing internationally, we normally remove the first zero from the number, but I am not sure about Fiji, as I can't see it being mentioned anywhere.
