I wanted this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kali-Chocolate-Single-Duvet-Cover/dp/B0013NPWM4/ref=wl_it_dp?ie=UTF8&coliid=I30HIMNN985T3P&colid=3TKG1C31ZKCLR

This is what she got me: >SINGLEhttp://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/1005097/Trail/searchtext>SINGLE DUVET.htm

This sounds really bratty, i know, but i'm jusr not comfortable in a room thats not colour co-ordinated and nice! My Room is going to be light blue and darky-medium shaded blue, and all the furniture either blue or silver/grey and this is going to throw the whole thing off and i'm going to feel really uncomfortable!

Dont tell me i'm retarded and i should just put up with it, because i cant even sleep in a room like that (beleive me, i tried the whole 'mish mash' thing once and i couldn't even sleep lol!)

BTW - I'm 13 and i feel really bad about this because my mum would probably get upset about this :(

  1. I wouldnt really care if my duvet cover was ugly, as long as i got something to cover with and keep me warm then im happy.

  2. use it for 3 days then tell your mum that your going to donate it to charity to help kids in africa sleep in warm conditions and your mum will be proud of you

  3. I like your pick better as well.

  4. I like your mums choice, it's funky.

But if you don't like it, just tell her "thanks for buying it for me, but there are some others I like a lot better, and it doesn't really go with my room."

or just save up some money and buy the one you like.

  5. I think you should be grateful she has done the best she can for you material goods are nothing compared to how much you mother loves you.

She has tried her best, and personally, i like it. I would have it in my room.

  6. there's nothing that u can do to not make her upset, b/c the moment you tell her you will hurt her feelings, so i say just be happy w/it, don't hurt her, she tried for you, and be happy with what you got.

  7. WHy cant you ask her to change it? Can't you say, "I really love the duvet Mum but I saw one I like even better...and cheaper...can we change it?"..where's the offence in that? Gotta say though I think your choice is a bit yuk...it's VERY mature looking for a 13 year old!

  8. just tell her the truth or write her a note to say she will like u being honest she wld be hurt if she thougght  u cldnt tell her

  9. As a Mom, I would want my daughter to tell me if she didn't like it, so i could return it if I could and get the right one.

    Honesty honey....Mom may understand!

  10. You should be grateful that your mum has bought you things for your new room, your lucky your getting your room all nicely decorated. You could have an awful bedroom with no duvet cover and a mum that never bought you anything. There are 13yr olds out there who aren't as lucky as you, you should count your blessings! If you feel that strongly about it buy your own.

  11. Let me just tell you something.

You really think we are gna care about your poxy duvet when there are starving children all over the world who don't have a BED LET ALONE A DUVET!!!!!!! Argh..I'm soooo angry! Save Up And Buy A New Duvet You Spoilt Little Bratttt!!

WOW WOW WOAAAA!! £3 A MONTH..WHO CARES..THAT ISN'T PERSONALLY GIVING THEM A DUVET..!! Get over yourself little girl!!

  12. It might hurt your mum's feelings if you tell her but it is best to tell the truth, what if she ends up buying you more stuff like that? Tell her you don't want to be ungrateful, you appreciate her buying you a new duvet cover but could you have something different next time please?

  13. There are kids in the world dying of hunger, thirst and disease. Your right, it does sound real bratty!
