HELP! My Tempurpedic now killing my back -- any solutions???

Question

Our two-year old Tempurpedic Deluxe mattress has now gotten too soft and is killing my back. Does anyone know of a solution to make it stiffer?? I tried a thick mattress pad and that was not enough.

My wife and I tried a regular model and HATED it.

We gave it 6 nights, and couldn't get comfortable, no matter what "comfort number" we set it to.

We sent it back, and slept like babies on our old mattress.

I'd seriously look into the warranty. There's something wrong with that picture. Mattresses usually have quite lengthy warranties.

Consider replacing it with firm talalay latex and a wool fleece pad.

You don't say if there is a dip or body impression in the mattress or not.  If there is you may have a warranty claim.  The body impression must be greater than 3/4 inch and no stains, soil, or burns on the mattress.

I am so sorry but I am in the same situation I have had my Tempurpedic since 2004 and now I have back issues too.  As soon as I can get more money I am donating it to charity and getting me a new bed.  Do the same.

what do you have as a base for your mattress?

They require a very rigid frame...if you don't have a solid base you might want to try putting  a solid hardboard base(3/4" particleboard base)

(I traded mine in after the 90 trial, just couldn't deal with it...but I still have the base under my new mattress).
