HELP!!!!!!! My dvd-rw disc won't play what I recorded!?

Ok, I have never used this before. I recorded my niece for a school assignment with my sister's camcorder which uses these and it will NOT play on any dvd playing device!

Did it even save?

I don't have the camcorder to check either, just the disc.

Please help because I need to pass it off to my group partners so that they can do their part of the assignment and it's due on Wed. night.

Thanks.

  1. well i think you did not save it properly but it could be your dvd player's fault because some dvd players cannot play copyed or saved files

  2. If your computer has a DVD optical drive (and if you recorderd), you may be able to get the video off the disks using ISOBuster.

Normally you need the camera that recorded the disc to fianalize the disc before the video can be used by anything other than THAT camera.

Warning: Video from DVD based camcorders is terrible.

  3. If you write a video that's going to be read on a pc, rw disks are ok, if it's going to be read on a tv dvd as often as not they won't read rw disks, but will read -r or +r.
