HELP!? My guinea pig ate its pine bedding!!!!?

Question

My guinea pig ate its pine bedding at sometime during today. I found him laying on his side, and he wouldn't eat anything I gave him. Not even his favorite foods. I found that he was eating his bedding! I researched this and found out that it could kill him. PLEASE let me know how I can save him! My dad's not home and I can't drive yet. I would call a vet, except that my cell phone got turned off cause my dad wasn't home to pay the bill on time.

he needs to go to a vet asap it will give him a blockage and could cause allergic reaction, pine and cedar and other wood beddings are not healthy for guinea pigs they can get mites, and illnesses from it, along with allergic reactions i always use synthetic bedding its not all that expensive and safe if they eat it, borrow a nieborhs phone and get ahold of someone who will take you to the vet, good luck

Pine is dangerous to breathe in because it has toxins that go into the air. So get rid of the pine asap. Do not use cedar either. But eating bedding does not have to be pine to harm the guinea pig. If it ate a little, it is just fine. Wood is perfectly digestable. And if it ate some, it would only eat a little since guinea pigs cannot eat large amounts of things at a time. But it is possible he is constipated. Take him to a vet next chance you get, this can kill him! You don't need to call, just bring him over.

Are you sure he ate it? Is he eating or pooping at all?

It won't necessaily kill him but do you free feed grass hay? If not, he is probably searching for roughage and fiber.
