  1. Take him to a specialist and demand answers.  This is not normal.  Hurry...

  2. My advice would be to take him to see a neurologist and an orthopedic doctor.  Maybe they could help.  Don't give up until you get answers.  Good luck.

    -edit-

My son is of special needs, and I know for a fact if you call Medicaid they will give you a referral and guide you with other programs like travel reimbursement and free diapers, etc.  They are there to help you, and do a well job if you explain to them what you need done.  Good luck.

  3. Hi

Looking at it from another angle, i wonder if it's something phycological?

When i was 8 i used to get stomach aches a lot and the docs couldn't find anything wrong. They realised it was because my mum died when i was 6 and i never grieved so it came out physically.  Even to this day when something bothers my it shows up physically, ie anxiety attacks.

Just a thought.  I'll have a think and come back with other things i can think of. i feel for you not being able to afford health care.  in the meantime have a think about whether something else could be bothering him.

Another thing it could be is referred pain.  Referred pain is a term used to describe the phenomenon of pain perceived at a site adjacent to or at a distance from the site of an injury's origin.

EDIT - have a look at the web site below. It's about pshycosomatic pain and seen as the docs can't find anything wrong this is worth considering.

WHen you find out what's wrong would you post it on this question cos i'm concerned

  4. If you were really worried and that concerned why the heck are you on here???????????????????

  5. What?  They couldn't find anything wrong so they sent him home????

Holy c**p, that was WRONG of them.

Call an ambulance to bring him to the ER so he is seen FIRST.  NO waiting room bs.  And demand he be seen by a different doctor. (you ride in ambulance with him, yes YOU ARE ALLOWED).

A second option is to.....Take him to another hospital ER--  or call his pediatrician and tell them you need a recommendation for a specialist that will see your son immediately.

Best wishes to you and your son.

    Update us when you can.

  6. i remember my mum telling me that i started walking very late and all the doctors thought there was something wrong and that i would never walk. But in the end i did i was just lazy. Maybe he just doesnt want to walk. However you know your child best if you think something is wrong take action if you feel its necessary.
