ok so im writing a pper and i dont know how to use this term. hereS what i wrote (a) and hereS what im trying to say (b).

please tell me how to say it!

A. My opinion of the women’s role in the ancient Olympic Games is that, given other laws and rules, they were actually more privileged then other women in different times. At least they could in fact have an effect on the games. They should, of course, have had equal rights, but in those times, you were less likely to _______

b. finding fairness in those times were really unlikly.

what i cant figure out is what it means if i say "They should, of course, have had equal rights, but in those times, you were less likely to *find something unlikly* then to see much fairness.

i dont know if anyone understands what im asking, but if you do, try your hardest to help me! THANK YOU!!!!

...but in those times, the prevailing cultural attitude towards women was one of inferiority and submissiveness.  Women were still mothers and wives and homemakers.  Not Olympic athletes.  Plus the events at the ancient Olympics were based on war fighting and women certainly did not go to war.
