  1. sorry but how do you know she is choking?....because if she was, she is gone now....if you had time to write...if she is still alive she is probably under stress or having an allergic reaction to something....so more detail PLEASE!

WOW ARE YOU SERIOUS?  NOW SHE IS DEAD???? GEEEEEZ  it was an allergy then most likely.

YEAH!  what the person below me said!

  2. Sorry, but I'm afraid any answer you receive will be too late if your cat is actually choking.

If you are so concerned about your cat, why are you still answering questions here at Yahoo?  Such as naming a St. Bernard and How to Bottle Feed a Kitten.

This is not fair to people who really do need help!

    Looking forward to school starting!

  3. keep one hand on her back and put the other just above her ribcage (towards her head) and give her 5 thrusts, like you would on a person. Don't thrust too hard since she is small and you wouldn't want to break anything.

  4. Call your vet or emergency clinic, now! If you don't know what you're doing you can kill your pet. Ask what to do, explain everything, and do exactly as your instructed! Good luck.

CALL YOUR VET NOW! YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE THAT INSTEAD OF GOING ON ANSWERS! GET OFF OF ANSWERS AND GET A PROFESSIONAL ON THE PHONE! YOUR CAT IS GOING TO DIE IF YOU DON'T!

  5. There are a number of possible causes these are the most common reasons:

Asthma - causes coughing, choking/retching but nothing comes up. A couple of symptoms you might notice along with this is the third eyelid may extend over the inner part of their eye when the cat is feeling unwell (even if they don't appear unwell). And you might notice your cat avoiding any strenuous exercise, running or play since they can't get as much oxygen as they need.

Hairballs - a possible obvious cause. If your cat sheds a lot or washes itself a lot & you don't brush it, it may have a hairball or two that's unable to pass out of the stomach & is causing these symptoms. You could try to use a hairball remedy for 3 days to see if it helps. If it goes away, great! But if after 3 days treatment, the problem remains, it's unlikely to be a hairball. Please DON'T use a liquid mineral oil but a proper hairball remedy.

Other causes are more serious & warrant a vet visit as it may be very serious & even fatal!

  6. VET ASAP if you can

    if not

remember kitty is not built for this technique.  be gentle.

stabilze her and get her to the vet!

  7. Put pressure below the rib cage while tilting him forward. If that doesn't work grab your cats snout and stick your mouth over his entire snout that encludes nose also. Give him three breaths and listen for a pulse. Keep trying repetedly unless you have completely lost pulse.

  8. I'm so sorry

  9. let her drink alot of water and u give her cpr the same way u do 2 a person

  10. NO!

HOLD HER UPSIDE DOWN AND PRESS ON HER STOMACH!

    CALL THE VET

HOLD UPSIDE DOWN & PRESS HER STOMACH IF YOU CAN EE WHATS STUCK DONT TRY & REMOVE IT

    oh god

    i'm so sorry

  11. OH MY GOSH!! im sorry!! i asked a question about dog clothes and  GiGi told me about this! i was going to help but i came to late! im so sorry!

  12. Is she really dead? Can you see inside her mouth? Any idea what she might have choked on?  I'm so sorry. That's horrible.

  13. In response to your last comment, posted 11 minutes ago, there were excellent suggestions to call your vet immediately to find out what to do.  They can give you advice over the phone.

If there isn't a vet or vet tech online at the time, that's the best recommendation.

Very sorry for your loss and trying gently to point out that people helped you as best they could.

  14. same way you do on a person

  15. If this is a joke...be ashamed of yourself.  This isn't funny.

If this is not a joke...be more ashamed.  Only someone with no common sense would take the time to ask a question like that online and think they'd get some real help in time to save their cat's life.  I hope the next time you come across a cat, it doesn't have to rely on you to save it.
