Ok I went out to eat for lunch from work and when I came back to my car in the parking lot, it wouldn't start. AC/Windows/Engine...nothing started. I called AAA and they came and jumpstarted my car so I came home and let the car run for about 30 minutes. I starrted my car now and its running now

so does that mean my battery is fine?

the little icons./indicators next to the odometers aren't blinking (which it does in case of something wrong)

THE AAA dude said go home and let the car run for about 30 minutes and he said when you shut it off and restart, if it runs, its fine, if not I might need a new engine

  1. not always need a new engine. check the battery cables...one may be loose or rusted and needs replaced

  2. sounds like something was left on in your car to drain the battery  - other issue might be that your alternator is going out or the battery is about to go.

My daughter had this same problem for about a week and then her battery completely died and would no longer hold a charge - bought her a new battery, problem solved.

  3. The biggest cause of the problem you described is corroded or oxided battery terminals and connectors. Even if they don't look corroded they may have an oxide coating built up which can cause starting and charging problems. This is a normal occurrence. Remove first the negative cable and then the positive battery cable and use a wire brush or a knife blade to clean the inside of the connectors and the posts to a shiny bright. Replace and tighten first the positive cable and then the negative. If the cables are corroded use some baking soda and water, with a brush, to neutralize and remove the corrosion prior to wire brushing them. This needs to be part of your twice a year maintenance schedule in order to keep the battery cables in good condition.

  4. the guys a r****d saying you need a new engine. You most likely have a battery that wont hold a charge anymore or possibly an alternator that has gone bad but deff not needin a new engine
