okay so I'm 15. and i'm officially freaking out. the flight is this sunday! i'm flying to CT from Dallas,TX but it's a connected flight and I will have to fly to NC first. Once i'm there I will have to change planes to go to CT. i've flown before but never changing planes. i've got a couple of questions:

1)luggage? it's the same airline all the way. will i still have to pick it up when i get to NC and then re-check it for my new flight?

2)do i have to go through security again to board my other plane to CT?

3)do i get both of my tickets at the first airport in Dallas? or will I have to get a new ticket at the NC airport?

4)i only have 45 mins between the time i land at NC and the time i leave for CT. will that be enough? how do I know where to go?

thanks sooo much!

  1. 1. your luggage will be handled by the airline. But be sure to keep your luggage stub incase something goes wrong.

    2. no, you  go through security only once.

    3. you get all your boarding passes in Dallas. Sometimes both passes are on one ticket, something you get two seperate passes. depends on the airline.

    4. 45min should be enough time. airlines keep track of who is on a conecting flight and if your flight from Dallas is not too late, they will usually hold the other plane for you. As you get off your Dallas flight check the TV monitors with flight schedules and that will tell you when and from which gate your secend flight is departing. Worst case scenario, ask a stewardess to help you. If you are polite and if you put on your puppy eyes, they will usually be glad to help.

    5. enjoy your trip. I love to fly.
