A garage floor is to be constructed of poured concrete. The floor is rectangular and measures 14m wide by 10m deep. The concrete will be poured to a depth of 30cm. What amount of concrete will be required?

  1. billrussell42 is correct.  It is a basic volume problem.  

    V=length x height x depth

    V = 14 x 10 x .30

    V = 42 cubic meters of concrete

  2. Just a volume calculation. Did you ever try to do it?

    14m x 10m x 0.3m = 42 m³

    you confused it by calling the 10m dimension the depth (deep, same thing), whereas the 30 cm is the depth.
