I pierced my own ear about 2 days ago and now it is really red and inflamed. I took the ear ring out and I have tryed squeezing it to see if any puss comes out, but all that is coming out is this clear liquid stuff. I am really really worried. Is there a way which i can get rid of this WITHOUT going to the doctors.

And if you are going to leave answers which say "you shouldnt of done it" dont bother answering..

  1. You were NOT supposed to take the earring out

  2. it is just part of the healing process.

you have to clean your piercing. clean it with a cleanser from a piercing parlor, or use salt water. do this two times a day and do it for a few weeks. it should get better in a few days.

  3. Well, yes you weren't supposed to take the earring out. The swelling is normal. Have you been twisting the earring while it's in the hole normally?

Your ear may be infected. Just wait a while, do not squeeze your ear, as it may transmit more bacteria into it.

Instead of going to the doctor's, try going to a place where they pierce earrings.

They should know what happened, and what to do, but I'm pretty sure that's normal.

  4. DO NOT USE ALCOHOL OR PEROXIDE!!!

your earring probably won't go back in if you took it out anyways but to help the infection use sea salt water or just unscented soap and water. Let it heal up (give it a few weeks) and then go get it done professionally.

  5. rubbing alchol

  6. oh no dont worry about it. heres what you should do, if you ave olive oil, than rub it in your ear, and also put some rubbing alcohol too. your ears might itch alot, dont worry. the same happened to me and it got better in a few days from putting on olive oil. and donnot put the earring back in your ears now that you have taken it out, because it infection is trapped in there. you need to clean out the pierce hole. so take a metal needle, clean it, put ALCOHOL on it, and put it in your ear to clean it out. or, theres an even better way which is to use salted warm water and soak your ears in that to clean it out. it will heal soon

  7. soak it in sea salt and water.

Look up this mixture on google or somewhere.

i know its good for when you get a piercing done,so it should be good for this too.(duh,im stupid.)

  8. its nothing you have to go to the doctor for. just a small infection.

don't put the earring back in, clean the infection with rubbing alcohol and then use an antibiotic ointment. do this a few timess a day as needed, it will probably only take about a week for the infection to clear up. when your ear heals,

try to be more careful when you re-pierce it.

make sure to wash your hands and the area your piercing.

boil the needle/tack/safety pin/whatever and then clean it with rubbing alcohol. make sure the earring your using is clean with rubbing alcohol. use an apple or cork behind your ear and make sure you pierce it quickly, don't s***w around or it will bleed and irritate the area.

after piercing your ear make sure to clean it gently with a sea salt/water solution or rubbing alcohol 2-3 times a day for about a week, then clean it every once in a while afterwards.

    no biggie :]

  9. I don't think there is nothing really wrong with your ears, so you shouldn't be worried dear.

Mostly because you got them pierced 2 days ago, it's suppose to be get red and inflamed. The clear liquid stuff is normal.

Believe me, from the piercings I've ever gotten(and I've gotten different places of my body pierced over 15 times)my ears was the WORSE to get healed. It actually took me over 6 months to get them healed.. It was bad but eventually, they were ok.

So DO NOT remove your ear rings anymore because that will irritate your  ears. Try not to touch your ears. Keep your ears clean with some sea salt and water(C2O), eat healthy( vitamin A&C, cuz that will help get them healed faster) and they will eventually be fine.

If you are still worried go down to the place where you got them pierced and they will tell you what to do from there.

    Best of luck!

  10. I don't really know what you should do.  Did you put any rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide on it? Try that I guess to disenfect but the rubbing alcohol might burn.

  11. you can use neosporn on your ear..but this will make the whole close up! also try using the dial liquid soap. you can use a Q-tip and rub a little bit of the soap on your ear.  another thing that will help to clear up the infection is to use hydrogen peroxide.  try these things and if it still doesnt clear up or start to look better in a day or two then you should go to a doctor. i pierced my ears and belly button on my own so i wont try to lecture you on that...but just make sure that if you do it again you sterilize the needle or the earing that you are using. also wash your piercings with dial soap everyday until they are healed. hope this helps!
