I Have a 1998 nissan sentra and lately its been very lazy untill a few days ago it gave me a check engine light so i pulled up the code and it said it was my o2 sensor so i changed it and it cleared. Then since it was still lazy i decide to check the timing on it since i had moved the distributor i figured i might have moved the timing and left it out of time so i got a timing light and ajusted it to my cars tag and manual and put it back in time it was working 100% fine untill yesturday.

I put a Lucas fuel injector cleaner and filled up my tank and as soon as i drove off from the gas station it turned off on me while i was driving so i pulled over gave it a minute and restarted him once again he felt lazy lacking power so i drove off trying to get home a few blocks from my house it turned off on me again so i did the same turned it back on and went home this morning i went to the auto parts and got a water treatment for my gas tank hoping it was just bad gasoline i bought a new fuel filter and replaced it i checked the old one but it didint seem to have any water or anything wrong but it still didint fix my problem!

HELP Me Please if you have had a similar problem!

  1. your car is dieing of old age

  2. When you figure out whats wrong go to http://www.highspeedautoparts.com/ for your parts. They have cheap prices.

  3. hmmmm youve done all you can do from this end there must be something that is not working. is it running Hot? some engines will shut down with a hot temp. its time to take it to ur mechanic.

as for Old age Nissans drive long time so unless the miles are like 200k + I wouldnt bet on it.

  4. get you're catalytic converter check out it may be blocking

will give you o2 sensor code  and lack of power
