HELP PLEASE!!!!! house smells!!!!!?

okay well i just burned some popcorn, ******* bag was small so i put the microwave on for regualar popcorn, well anyway, the house smells, is there any way that i could get rid of the burnt smell? besides opening the windows

Put some water in pot add real vanilla extract and simmer on stove. My mother would do this whenever she cooked fish to get rid of the odor - so it should work with burnt popcorn.

Things You’ll Need:

bowl

charcoal briquettes, lemon juice, or vinegar

sponge

household cleaner

baking soda

hot water

cleaning agent

Step1

Put some charcoal briquettes into your microwave to absorb the odor. Leave them there for a few hours.

Step2

Place a bowl filled with lemon juice in your microwave. Vinegar is also an option (anything acidic should do the trick). Heat the bowl for two or three minutes. After it's been heated, leave the bowl in the microwave for a few hours. After you have removed the bowl, wipe up and clean your microwave with a sponge and a cleaning agent.



Step3

Clean out your microwave with hot water and soap. This is the classic method. You can also put a box of baking soda in your microwave. Make sure you close the door. Leave it like this for a day or two, then open the microwave door for one whole day.

Step4

Wait it out. A little burnt popcorn odor never killed anybody, although it's highly unpleasant to smell. If you wait a week or so, your microwave will smell good as new again. However, since most of us can't wait that long, there are the aforementioned surefire methods to eliminate the smell.

Fill a small bowl more than half full of vinegar (white vinegar or cider vinegar will do the trick.)

Put the bowl in the area where the smell is strongest, but out of the way of getting kicked or knocked over.

In less than 24 hours, the smell should be gone. The vinegar will not "cover" the smell the way that deodorants do. Instead, the smells will be absorbed and will be gone.

I have done same thing..I put a bowl of water with about a cup of vinegar back into the microwave for about 3 to 4 minutes. I let the bowel sit in microwave with door open for awhile. wipe out the microwave , it usually works. You need to watch the temp & time of microwave oven for the small bags. I hate them they burn very fast...Good luck...
