so i am going to the dentist and i have heard that they can tell if you have been smoking and i have been pretty much everthing (weed, hookah, salvia ciggartes) and was wondering if they can tell. i am 15 and can they tell your parents of is it confidential?

I didn't smoke a lot when i was your age nor do I now but when I have before I went to the dentist several times when I was younger and they didn't tell my dad,and they didn't even tell me that they noticed it,if they did so you're probably safe.

Don't smoke anything for a couple of days before you go to the dentist so they can't smell it as you exhale in their faces - that's how they can tell.  Since you're not old enough (i hope) to have stained teeth yet, stop smoking - it's nasty!

Don't be surprised if your folks find out....the dentist is the least of your problems right now....

It must be hard finding money for all those drugs and keeping up a false front, and lying...

It is MUCH easier to confess, get yourself clean, and start living the life that is healthy, mentally and physically.

They're your parents.

A free clinic does that if you ask to keep it secret

but a dentist will surely tell your parents.

They can only assume you have been smoking they wont give you a test that says you have been smoking. So if they think you have been smoking they can only tell your parents that they think you have been.

Since you're under 18 and all.

But you shouldn't do drugs anyway.  I mean, I've heard that some drugs aren't necessarily bad for your overall health but smoking IS bad for your lungs.  

You don't wanna get lung cancer in the future do you?
