HELP! Pointe Shoe Problems!?

Question

My teacher told us to sew on our pointe shoes with a technique that i've never heard of! It has to do with a loop and crossing something...I don't remember what it was called but maybe it was a "Bed Stitch" I don't remember. HELP!

most likely a blanket stitch. but any stitch will do fine.
