  1. Thank god! They are doing this in some states in the U.S. as well as implimenting stricter penalties for junior operators. Just ONE speeding/operation violation  and a junior operator licence is SUSPENDED for three months and requires a $500.00 reinstatment fee. A second violation an a junior operator license is REVOKED for one year and the j/o needs to start the licensing procedure all over. This will make young drivers much more careful.  


  2. I've  not heard of this.

    I believe all States are planning to toughen up how many hours are needed before getting the first P plate.

    It has been shown in studies that good driving depends more on experience than on age, obviously assuming there is enough age for the person to take adult responsibility.
