HELP SOOOON Is there a Cosecant, secant, or contangent button on a TI-83 Plus calculator?

Where would i find it, and if there isnt is there anything i can do that would be the same as pressing one? i need help for tonights homework!

  1. Cosecant is 1/sin

    secant is 1/cos

    cotangent is 1/tan

    Thats all there is to it :-)  

    Also, try using the alpha pad to type in "csc( )" for cosecant, "sec( )" for secant, and "cot( )" for cotangent, and put your number in the parenthesis.  That works for TI-89 calculators.  Try it out with typing in "sin( )" and see if it does the correct calculation for sine since you can check that one.




  2. I'm sure but here's what I know...

    sine cosine tangent as follows: y/r x/r y/x

    secant cosecant and cotangent as follows: r/y r/x x/y

    Using this logic, maybe you can punch in something to the tune of:

       r/(tangent of something) or r/(cosine of something) or r/(sine of something).
