Hi everybody, I'm an italian girl who would like to spend next year abroad... I was thinking about Scotland, Stirling if I can find a job, or Edinburgh; and about Irleand, Galway or Cork... I know that they are two different countries, in your opinions, which places is the best for an italian girl, that speaks quite good english, and look for a job? It's better to find a room before coming? Thank you so much

  1. Both are wonderful countries with great people and fine scenery . The cost of living in Ireland is higher than Scotland The purest English is spoken in Inverness in the Scottish Highlands .Edinburgh is very cosmopolitan and the International Festival each year sets the place alight

( not literally ! ) There is a big Italian community  in both Glasgow and Edinburgh with roots stretching back many decades.

  2. I'm Irish and have lived in Galway and Dublin and also London. My recommendation is Galway in Ireland. Galway is full of bars and restaurants to get a job in and tourists having fun to get to know, it is by the sea side and also in very beautiful surroundings for exploring which you can do easy.

Plus, it is the euro so you will understand the currency, Scotland is the pound. You may find the scottish accents more difficult to understand.

There are several english language schools in Galway.

I dont recommend Cork at all. Its not so safe and not so easy to make friends and is more expensive and has bad traffic....its a city..dont go there...go to Galway.

OH! there are many hostels there where you can get a bunk bed and share with other tourists like you...many people do that when they first arrive...you will be able to make friends easy that way and maybe find someone to live with...

In Galway people speak English and you will meet many italians working there.

  3. im scottish lol

you should come to scotland im not sure what jobs are going right now coz im only 13 but you should find something here

  4. you should go to Scotland because in Ireland they may speak Irish.

  5. Galway for sure!

  6. defiantly Galway Ireland.

its a lovely city and people around speak more english than Scotland.

also theyre are a lot of pubs with jobs available and along with many good schools.

plus they use the euro so no currency change while Scotland is the pound.

also Cork is a city and much more touristy while Galway is a nice town with friendly people.

i use to live there and loved it, now i live in England which is also nice.

if you dont have a specific school set yet, i might suggest England as a nice place to study abroad.
