HELP! Should I buy this camera on eBay if...?

Question

In the description it says:

"Chrome / Brown leather colour scheme. The Camera seems in very good overall condition, although the brown leather has some marks and small scratches."

"Please note: I have no films for this camera so cannot test it, so this item is sold AS IS."

"I do have an empty cassette and the camera shutter and roller mechanism seems to be operating OK but I can not guarantee it"

Should I buy this camera? It's a Polaroid SX-70.

Is it likely it would be in working order if sold "As is"?

Don't bother. This is a $2.00 camera in a thrift store when it is working.

Look into the Fujifilm instant cameras..film will be available for those.

No, don't buy it.  Even if it does work, you will not be able to get Polaroid film in the very near future.  In case you have not heard, Polaroid is going to stop making their instant print film.

I wouldn't buy it unless it was going for a very low price so that I wouldn't be too disappointed if it didn't work.

eh, ur putting yourself to a risk. you could be getting a worthless broken camera, so i wouldnt do it if i were you...
