HELP. Silverfish. HELP.

What is the best way to kill silverfish, and keep them from coming back?

I have a large wooded lot behind my house so I get lots of creepy crawley insects and such!  2x a yr.  I spray the INSIDE/OUTSIDE perimeter of my home.. Including the basement... I spary along the foundation, doors, windows along baseboards and behind appliances... The product I use is called ORTHO MAX HOME DEFENSE it comes in a RED/WHITE gallon sized container with a sprayer.. .It works really well!  It keeps spiders, ants, silverfish, beetles, ticks, fleas etc.. Away for up to 6 months.. I would try that... It cost(s) under $20 for a gal. container with a sprayer...!  Available at most hardware stores..

i looked up a couple of things and there is a lot of interesting facts, but no obvious ways to get rid of them. looks like you either have to contact orkin or try getting rid of their hiding spots....they like to feed on paper, books and such, so if you have a lot of that. i would get rid of it.

scary, they can live up to a year with out food...ooooh, i would contact a bug killer.

A Great way to get rid of rid of ants,earwigs, spiders and many crawling insects is to take one tablespoon of Baking Soda and one tablespoon of Icing Sugar, put in a container where the insects can get in but can't get out the insects will eat the icing sugar and baking soda and swell up so they can't get out because they are bloated, you can then do with them as you wish, this method will keep them away from whereever it is you are having problems with them is Good Luck !
