  1. Try a program called CCleaner, run the registry cleanup tool.

clean up the registry startup list (CCleaner)

    Run spybot search and destroy

    run a full virus scan.

    if this fails re-install windows

  2. i made a youtube video to explain how to do this... i assume that u are using windows XP

    so click the link!

  3. For running slow there are many causes:

Microsoft Registry Problems = Slow Computer!

    Spyware/Adware

    RAM

    De-Fragmenting

    Etc.

Below can help you speed up your pc:

    Manage your startup:

Open your Start menu  ->  Click Run ->  In the command screen type "msconfig.exe" ->  In the "system configuration utility", click either "service" or "startup" tab ->  Uncheck all programs that your are no longer using.

    De-Fragmenting

    1. Right click of C Disk.

    2. Click properties.

    3. Click tools tab.

    4. Click "Defragment now".

    5. Click Defragment.

You can search which process full use you cpu, and end the process.

    Under steps:

    1. right click on the TaskBar.

    2. click the Task Manager.

    3. click the processes tab.

    4. double click the CPU.

    5. find if the "System Idle Process" is max.

    6. if not right click and click end process.

  4. Unfortunately, you didn't have a very good way of protecting the computer or this wouldn't have happened. The computer is taking a while to load things most likely because it is damaged, it has too many processes, or it is loaded with spy-ware and such. I would recommend downloading Ad-aware SE (you can get this from downloads.com) run a full system scan and clean out the computer. If you have any anti-virus, anti-spy, or something to that effect, use it. open up task manager and look at your processes, whatever process has the highest CPU usage is what's cutting down your processing speed. If all else fails you may have to just kill the computer. You can format the C drive and start from scratch, but I do not know enough about the situation to make a plan that's surefire.

    Hopefully this helps... good luck.
