Question:

HELP! Touchscreen not working!?

I have a T-Mobile Wing. I did a hard reset after I noticed it was getting sluggish. So when it powered back up, the touch screen didn't work. I'm stuck on the window that says "Tap screen to set up your device". My phone is my means of business, so I'm dead in the water and missing important communications. Has my touch screen completely failed? The soft keys work, but they don't help much in moving past the opening screen.

  1. Sometimes there is a lock button (With a little lock icon) that locks your pda so that the screen doesn't work.  See if you have a lock button and unlock

  2. Have you got a screen protector installed?

Sometimes a misaligned screen protector (or some debris, dirt, dust) get under the side edge of the screen and prevent it from responding properly.

I would remove any protector, and then with a thin card I'd clear the edge of each of the four sides of the screen to remove any stuff.

Hopefully, it should work then... possibly immediately or possibly after another hard reset.
