Hi

I am going to uni next year and have been looking but they all seem to require a grade C in maths GCSE. (I got AAC in AS Level) I got a D last year in my maths GCSE and am retaking this year. I find maths very very hard, (I have dyslexia and dyspraxia) I don't know all my times tables, can't do maths in my head. I got a tutor last year and revised but find it so hard. Does anybody know ways in which I can get better at maths for example any books? Or uni's that don't require a grade C in maths GCSE.

Thanks xxxxxxx

  1. use a CGP revision guide that got me a B in maths. You can have mine if you want I dont need it anymore

  2. you could just ask your college/6th form about taking an access course for maths. It's the equivalent of a gcse in maths, and many universities accept in instead.

  3. Hello,

As long as you dont want to take a subject such as maths/ accounting/ primary school teaching , where maths is really important  most uni's will make an acception for you. The best thing to do is look at courses you would like to do and get in contact with the uni. Providing your other GCSE's are good and you get good enough A2 results im sure they will accept you. Well done for your AS results by the way!

    Good luck xx

  4. I had a book called revise maths in 7 days its for GCSE, look in WHSmith.
