Anyone know of a free dvd ripper (not a trial) that can rip the main movie of the dvd into one file?

are you by any chance using a mac?  if so, handbrake is a very good program to do so with.  don't use it for illegal reasons though.  and anti-p****y shields will still keep you from getting movies thru illegal means.
