  1. so 3 in every 8 computers is a model p

         5 in every 8 computers is a model q

    you can set this up like a proportion 3 is to 8 like x is to 120

    3/8=x/120

    cross multiply

    8x=3(120)

    8x=360

    divide both sides by 8

    x=45 model p times $25=$1125

    120 total- 45 model p= 75 model q

    75 model q times $20= $1500

    total commission= 1125 + 1500

    $2625 for the last month

  2. a+b=120             cosider model P=a; model Q=b

    a/b=3/5  so, a=3b/5

    3b/5+b= 120 and solve it u get

    8b/5=120 and b=600/8

    b=75, so number of model Q sold(b)= 75

    and model P sold= 45

    now, commision for P model: 25x45=$ 1125

    commision for Q: 20x75= $1500

    total commision: 1500+1125=2625

    this is the method and i guess the answer is right, But in advance....sorry if i am wrong okey!

  3. there were 45 of Model P and 75 Model Q.

    so....

    $25 x 45 + $20 x 75 = $1125 + 1500 = $2625 commission.

  4. $2625.00

  5. ratio of 3:5 means you should divide 120 by 8 to get 15.

    Then multiple 3x15 and 5x15 to get

    45 P and 75 Q models

    45 x $25 = 1125

    75 x 20 = 1500

    1125 + 1500 = 2625
