HELP!!! We are having our very first yard sale this Saturday and we have no idea where to start, can you help?

We already have the stuff out in the garage. How do we seperate and stage the stuff so it doesnt look tacky.... Please help us..

Well you are having a yard sale, so that means you are getting rid of what you don't want/need, SELL IT!! remember the less you have to put away to more time and money you will have SELL IT!! If somebody buys a few things, them give them a bonus item, mainly the stuff you would be throwing away anyways, HAVE FUN!! its a yard sale not a get rich quick deal, get rid of you worries and find it a home somewhere else, if you have a teen aged kid around the neighborhood, then give them so help, send them home with something and if they ever make it in life, then they will remember you and return the favor,

Make sure all the items are clean and priced. I would put all the clothes on one table , household items on one, toys etc. Make sure you have a place where people can plug electric items up to test them. Make sure you have lots of change and bags for the people.

We always start with pricing all of the items.Then we try to group them into catagories like electronics, kitchenware, toiletries, clothing etc. We also try to get what we can set up on the tables the night before and have them ready in the garage to bring out the next morning. It cuts down on set up time and a lot of stress! Just try not to pile everything up on one table. It's good if you can see most everything available at a glance. Make sure you have LOTS of change and plastic bags for people to take their treasures home in. Most of all, try to have fun and relax.

All the stuff everyone said sounds good, and your sale might do pretty well, but be prepared for lots of work. To cut corners, have tables or boxes of stuff, priced $1, or 50cents, or 25cents. It saves a lot of work pricing things. My daughter had a sale today and made $6 in 6 hours..lol
