  1. Dyslexia is a condition where you have difficulties reading, mostly because there exist difficulties in relating the spoken language to the written language. Recent research has shown that the region of the brain (that is used for reading) of dyslexic people function in a different way than other people. It is a condition that is genetic. When this is the case, it is primary dyslexia.

    Similarly, people with dysgraphia have  difficulties writing and people with dyscalculia have difficulties with Math.

    Acquired, or secondary, dyslexia is when a person has suffered brain damage, from illness or because of an accident, that has affected a certain part of the brain.

  2. Dyslexia is caused by the brains in-ability to translate or comprehend written words and or letters correctly into a meaningful language.

    Causing problems with reading, writing, spelling and doing basic mathematics, sometimes speech difficulties, sequencing  problems etc.

    Types of dyslexia;

    Dysgraphia is specific to person having difficulty in writing down their thoughts and feeling.

    Dyscalculia is specific to difficulty in doing mathematics.

    Dyspraxia causes problems with co-ordination, where the person appears to be clumsy or uncoordinated.

    The causes of dyslexia can be broken down to developmental, primary and trauma dyslexia;

    Developmental dyslexia is caused by hormonal development during the early stages of fetal development. Developmental dyslexia diminishes as the child matures. More common in boys.

    Trauma dyslexia usually occurs after some type of brain trauma or injury to the area of the brain that controls reading and writing. This type of dyslexia is rarely seen in today's school-age population.

    Primary dyslexia is a dysfunction of, rather than damage to, the left side of the brain (cerebral cortex) and does not change with maturity. Individuals with this type are rarely able to read above a fourth grade level and may struggle with reading, spelling, and writing as adults. Primary dyslexia is hereditary and is found more often in boys than in girls.

    The difference between primary dyslexia and trauma dyslexia is that trauma dyslexia occurs after a brain trauma and primary dyslexia is a dysfunction of the brain.

    I hope this info helps, I have included some really goods links which explain how dyslexia affects people.

  3. its when someone does something backwards

  4. Dyslexia itself is a learning disability usually where someone has trouble with reading and spelling.

    My best friend is dyslexic and he himself can not actually read anything, as he sees things backwards and in different ways. Same with music notes.

    When he writes something, he can't actually read what he has written, so he can only remember it.

    Dyslexia itself is quite a horrible disability but you can only help dyslexic people as much as you can.

    Maybe this wikipedia site can help you:
