Ok, I was filing independent this year for the fafsa (I have a baby) But when I submitted the paperwork through my school they decided that I cannot file independent and moved me to a dependent. NOW THE PROBLEM IS: My efc was too much and I do not qualify for the pell nor any grants...I'M SCREWED as far as i'm concerned! I din't have scholarships and my parents won't help pay for my schooling...I was pretty much counting on the financial aid...I NEED IT! What are my other options? I really wanna go to school! HELP please!

  1. You should be able to take out a student loan. go talk to thr financial aid office at your school.

  2. have you tried directly speaking to the school?I know that schools allow you to appeal or talk to them about special circumstances, for the possibility of revising your financial aid package. best of luck
