HELP! What is a great resort in the caribbean for a 23 yr old girl & her best friend to visit for vacation?!?

We are looking for an all inclusive resort no doubt, we want good bars, good food, good people, nice rooms, GREAT beach, activities and things to do. We have researched SO much and just cannot decide on where to go. Just when I think I've found a nice place, I read so many horror stories about it and bad reviews. Some please help!

HI. well i also just looked for a vacation for my friends and me, we are 22 and 23. we wanted something close to us (NY) and cheap but not so cheap that the place is c**p. we ended up booking through jetblue.com/getaways to mexico at the barcelo maya palace. .private beach, lots of pools one for adults only.

beds next to the pools.

massages are offered.

very clean rooms. I believe the jr. suite has only one room off of the common room. the common room has a comfy sleeper sofa. they all have balconies.

the breakfast buffet is fantastic. more choices than you want. fresh fruit and fresh juice. traditional mexican and american dishes.

fresh pasteries and omletes made right in front of you.

if you get bored of relaxing and swimming they have a shuttle to take you where you want to go...it's allinclusive for $2200 but that price was for 3 people and 7 days....that really good. ive booked a ton of vacations....never book on orbitz.com they are so expensive...and priceline has no booking fees but the prices are more expensive too.

this place has loads of reviews and as far as bad ones...people are dumb and picky......hope it helps.

The Excellence Resort in Punta Cana, Dom Republic is really good, outside of the resort you can go to Altos de Chavon, Isla saona, you can go to La Romana which is one of the closest cities (great nightclubs, dominicans sure know how to dance!!), it is safe to go, don't worry about people trying to steal and all that bad stuff, which is one of the main concerns when you go to a different country, they are all very friendly and are very used to tourists. Check out the sol melia in Puerto Rico. But why all inclusive, maybe you can save a few bucs by going to a small hotel and esting/drinking where the locals go. take care Raul

Belize has some great resorts it's in the Caribbean and near to Mexico look it up :) ...Hope this helps.  There are so many places u can visit there San  Pedro Towm, Placencia also has some great resorts and the people are great night life is great!

Come to the Turks and Caicos , i live in the providenciales (Provo)  and we have great resorts, Club Med is good, just for adults, ummm you have the regent plams (for rich people) and in Grand Turk which is 20 mins away from provo by plane there is Margaritaville which is pretty cool
