the shape is a long metal cylinder that is about a foot long and has a metal cap on each end (removable)

It's from Pampered Chef for baking certain breads (with the caps on after the dough is in it).  I've given you a link that has a few recipes with instructions.

Baking bread in a bread tube will render a French loaf type of bread.

It will look like a foot long hot dog bread roll.

I like baking fruit cake in them bread tubes, and then on Christmas day, to cut christmas cake wheels from the tubular shaped cake.

Serve it with custard...
